Welcoming Gil Pontes to The Nora Project

Gil Pontes is a young white man with brown hair. He smiles in front of a white background as he wears a pinstripe suit, blue dress shirt, tartan tie, and lapel pin with the Massachusetts state flag and American flag.

Gil joins The Nora Project as our Director of Development. Joining us with a background of political and non-profit fundraising, Gil brings a unique perspective and skill set to grow The Nora Projects’s individual and institutional giving, corporate sponsorships, and grant portfolio. A former elected official in his own right, he started his professional career by raising funds for his own political endeavors, before raising money for other political candidates, and elected officials before joining the nonprofit space with leadership roles in c(3) and c(4) organizations. As a neurodivergent individual, he holds a true understanding of the issues disabled children face in the classroom and in our society, and always strives to use his knowledge and skills to create a better society for generations behind him. He holds a BA in Political Science from UMass Dartmouth. In his free time, he serves on the board of directors for Aeon for Ocean, along with enjoying the city views of Providence, RI.

Join us in welcoming Gil to the team!
